These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Karaoke Cue service at karaokecue.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

"Service" — the Karaoke Cue QR karaoke queue platform.
"Organizer" — a person who books an event and receives a QR queue code.
"Guest" — a person who scans the QR code and submits a song request.
"Event" — a booked karaoke session with a defined time window.
"Credits" — pre-purchased units used to create events (e.g., via 10-Pack).

2. Account & Booking

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to book an event. By booking, you represent that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.

2.2 Event Details

You are responsible for providing accurate event information (name, date, time). Karaoke Cue is not liable for errors in event setup.

2.3 Event Duration

Events are limited to a maximum duration of 12 hours. The guest signup page automatically locks outside the scheduled time window.

3. Payments & Refunds

3.1 Pricing

All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Single events are $4.99. 10-Packs are $39.99. Prices are subject to change with 14 days' notice.

3.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by PayPal. Karaoke Cue does not store credit card details. By making a payment, you agree to PayPal's terms of service.

3.3 Refunds

Refund requests must be submitted via email to info@karaokecue.com. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are generally granted if the Service failed to function as described. Refunds are not granted for change of mind, event cancellation by the Organizer, or issues caused by incorrect event setup.

3.4 Credits (10-Pack)

Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. Credits never expire. Each credit allows you to create one event. Credits cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.

3.5 Promo Codes

Promotional codes are valid for a limited time, one use per person. Karaoke Cue reserves the right to revoke credits obtained through abuse of promo codes (e.g., automated scripts, multiple accounts).

4. Organizer Responsibilities

You are responsible for the content displayed on your event's queue page.
You must comply with all applicable laws regarding music licensing, public performance, and venue requirements.
You may not use the Service for illegal activities, harassment, or any purpose that violates the rights of others.
You are responsible for ensuring your guests are aware of the privacy terms that apply to their data.

5. Guest Responsibilities

By submitting a song request, you consent to your name and song choice being displayed to the Organizer and, where applicable, on the public queue page.
You must not submit offensive, discriminatory, or unlawful content.
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the Service
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, promo code restrictions, or security measures
Submit harmful, abusive, or illegal content via guest forms
Use the Service to distribute malware, phishing links, or spam
Attempt to access another user's event queue or admin panel without authorization
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Karaoke Cue is not liable for:

Service interruptions, downtime, or data loss
Issues caused by third-party services (PayPal, Vercel, Neon database)
Event experience, including guest behavior, song quality, or venue issues
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited.

9. Intellectual Property

The Karaoke Cue name, logo, design, and code are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cape Town, South Africa.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
